Volunteer Opportunities
The Iosco County Medical Care Facility is an on-going project that involves planting and maintaining wheel-chair height flower boxes and other areas surrounding the county facility. Coordinators: Joe and Sharon Czaika (czaika@charter.net) Next Work Date: Saturday, May 17, 2008; 9 a.m. Focus will be building raised beds in the vegetable garden.
The Healing Garden at St. Joseph's Hospital contains benches, a water fountain and more than 70 species of plants. Its purpose is to provide a natural area for patients, visitors and staff to visit and restore their physical and spiritual health. Current status: Hospital is now doing ongoing maintenance.
